Induction Programme–Managerial Challenges and Decision Making tool

The induction program was conducted at the seminar hall. The speaker of the day Mr. Shinu Abraham was accompanied by Academic director Dr. B. Hareendran. The program was hosted byMs. Devi Lakshmi and Ms. Ranjani. S. at 9.30am. The interactive session started at 9.45am.The session started by discussing the managerial challenges and then lead to decision making. It was an interactive session where we were not only exposed to new dimensions but we also tried and attempted all the answers.We were then taught about other classifications of decision making and its process. In between we were given some hypothetical business cases to solve in groups. We had the lunch break from 1.00pm to 2.00pm.In the afternoon session we were taught about different decision-making tools. Each tool was either given a live example or demonstrated with physical examples. At the end we were given a case to solve and present it in groups enacting a press meet situation. Mr. Shinu Abraham ended the session by quoting Vineet Nayar “Speed is important, but if we pause for a moment, we can hear the heartbeat and make the decisions that people will implement twice faster”The vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Jithin Prakash.
