Student Induction Training Programme – Day 1
“Fire the fear out”

In an effort to acclimatise the first year students to the academic environment in higher educational institutions Bharata Mata Institute of Management initiated student induction programme, spanning seven days from 18th August 2023 for the 2023-25 Batch of MBA. Mr. Rajilan M C, Deputy Director, Kerala State Audit Department and Trainer’s Trainer JCI was the resource person of student induction training programme (SITP -1) on Friday, 18th   August 2023.Through activity based sessions and games the resource person underscored the rules to be followed to become effective communicators by keeping the content precise and accentuated that public speaking enhances ones confidence level. He emphasized the major role   of soft skills in ramping up employability and highlighted the need for constant practice in tackling stage fear. The One Day training programme was highly interactive   and made interesting by including a combination of games and exercise-based modules.

Industry Expectation from a Leader
Resource Person: Mr. Aravind Warrier
The second day of the Student Induction Training Programme (SITP-2) focussed on the traits and skills employers are expecting in their prospective employees. Mr. Aravind Warrier, People and Culture Lead, Volvo- Bangalore, was the resource person of SITP-2  on 19th August 2023 held at BMIM Seminar Hall. The programme started with a prayer at 9.30 am and Mr. Tomlin Tomichan (1st year Student) welcomed the gathering. The resource person stressed the need to envisage   one’s career path by setting realistic expectations and aspirations. He reminded the students that before they embark on job hunt, they should possess both domain knowledge and soft skills. The student participation made the session very interactive. Ms. Avanthika Vidyan(1st year Student) proposed the vote of thanks and the programme ended at 4:30 pm.
